Dos Rios Winery is located in historic Rio Grande City, Starr County, Texas. Our winery is the first and only winery in Starr County.

Delfino Garza, Jr. and wife, Nora Garza, started growing grapes on this beautiful property in 2011. This location has been known as Dos Rios because it is adjacent to the Rio Grande on the Texas side and the Rio San Juan on the Mexican side.

The Tasting Room Grand Opening by Rio Grande City officials was March 22. It was a standing room only event. Our first Trolley Tour Sip n See with RGC Bessie III was in June and we are preparing for many more. The Bessie III leaves its station in downtown Rio Grande City and provides a quick tour to be followed by a visit to the winery. Please send an email to nrgarza1971@yahoo.com if you would like to make reservations or text or call 956-645-4793.

With redirected addresses by the city, the new address is 1905 US Highway 83 West. We have not moved.

The best way to find us on Google Maps is with 1905 W Main Street, Rio Grande City, Texas 78582

Budbreak is in February, with leaves sprouting everywhere on the vines and the tiny grape cluster flowers showing by mid March. By April clusters are in and by May the clusters are filling in and ripening will begin soon.

No winery in south Texas is growing and making wine from 100% locally grown grapes at their our own vineyard.

Come enjoy our award winning wines.
